Safety and Compliance Program

To whom it may concern,
This Program is designed to provide drivers, employees, and all other concerned parties with information regarding the operational and safety policies and general practices of A22, Inc. A wide scope of information is provided herein. Even though it is the intent of A22, Inc to list all of its programs, policies and or procedures in this manual, it is also understood that the information contained herein is subject to change at the discretion of A22, Inc. Additional policies and directives may be issued at any time.
It is the intent of A22, Inc to operate safely and in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Department of Transportation, FMCSA and all other applicable agencies. Nothing in this Program is designed to supersede these regulations.
The goal of this Fleet Safety Program is to take the proper steps to reduce or eliminate motor vehicle accidents and associated loss of lives, injuries and/or property damage to all of A22 Inc drivers/employees/independent contractors etc. and members of the general public by following the safe practices established herein. To establish practices that will promote responsible driving behavior in all of our drivers/employees/independent contractors etc., higher safety awareness and to make sure that of our drivers/employees/independent contractors etc. operate their vehicle safely and are obeying all Federal, State and Local laws applying to the operation of motor vehicles. To establish maintenance procedures for the vehicles which will be operating under “A22, Inc” and implement guidelines for their routinely inspections.
The standard procedure for hiring drivers has been made with the intent to comply with all FMCSA regulations concerning Driver Qualification. All drivers with previous accident(s) history, bad roadside inspections, positive drug/ alcohol test(s) etc. are to be disqualified and not hired.
The safe and professional drivers, those willing to operate under safe and legal system will be hired only after they have undergone a series of trainings, tests, quizzes etc. They will also be required to complete a pre-employment drug test, road test and Orientation.
The pre-employment orientation consists of training regarding the FMCSA`s regulations and procedures for Accidents, Pre/Post Trip Inspections, Hours of Service, Citations and Warnings, Drug and Alcohol prohibitions, Unsafe Driving, Handheld Devices Restrictions, Freight Claims etc. as well as the Company`s policies and procedures for Resignation, Unauthorized Passengers, Internal logbook auditing, Taking possession of Company’s equipment, General Appearance and Attitude etc.
The Company Policy is presented to each prospective driver/employee/independent contractor etc. together with the safety bonuses and fines. Any evidence that this Policy is not being honored by any driver/employee/independent contractor etc, will result in the immediate revocation of the safety clearance of the offending driver (suspension or termination of the contract/ employment).
All vehicles are inspected twice a month for any maintenance issues in order to make sure that all of our equipment is safe and compliant with all of the DOT regulations. All defects are properly fixed as soon as possible.
